Showsec has cemented its involvement with Rotherham United Football Club by signing a second three-year contract with the club. The contract, which will see Showsec provide Stewards and SIA Door Supervisors alongside other security providers to the club, is recognition of Showsec’s ongoing commitment to Rotherham United and the local community.

Showsec’s record of providing high-quality security and crowd management services to the club has been instrumental to it gaining this new three-year contract. As Paul Davis, Stadium Manager explains: “Showsec have proved to be a reliable, professional security provider over the past three and a half years working closely with our own safety management team to ensure New York Stadium is a safe, welcoming venue to visit. We look forward to developing our relationship further over the next few years.”

The partnership is a natural fit for Showsec and Rotherham United as both organisations are committed to an ethos of corporate social responsibility. Previously Showsec has forged valuable links with local charities in Rotherham, including donating tables to Rotherham Hospice at special Rotherham United events and functions. Being involved with the Club for a further 3-years will give Showsec valuable opportunity to continue its contributions to the local community.

The new contract is also welcome news for the town’s economy, as Showsec will be looking to recruit more casual workers to meet the growing demand in the area. It is an exciting time to be involved as the club are newly promoted to the Championship for the 2018/2019 season. In this momentous new season, Showsec will be there to ensure all new Championship home games proceed smoothly and safely.

As Kayley Grieves, Area Manager for Sheffield explains: “We are very happy to secure another three years at Rotherham United. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the club and supporting the local area.

“This is good news for the town as it will bring further jobs. The staff have done a fantastic job so far and we are really excited to continue our very solid working relationship with the club.”
